What sites are good for hosting an online store?

I will be creating a website for my clothing store. I sell juniors clothing, shoes and accessories.
I need a hosting site that will give me templates to customize. I also need to be able to accept credit cards from my customers (some places don’t allow this). I basically need everything a good ecommerce site has. I don’t have much money to start with, so high quality- good priced websites are preffered. Thank you

  1. I suggest you this website http://www.tenhostingreviews.com where you can find a list of hosting companies with the best features, support and pricing. You can get everything you need and it’s very easy. Hope this could help you.

  2. Just letting you know that most customers expect PayPal as many do not like entering their credit card details on an unfamiliar website

  3. hi,
i host my online shopping site with http://www.tucktail.com/ which has wonderful backup support

  4. Hi Chelsey,
I am using web hosting from ixwebhosting.mobi , you can also give them a try , you may also check review of top ten web hosts at website like aplis.net ,etc .

  5. check http://neond.com

You can install OScommerce shopping cart with one click so that you can accept online payments. NeonD provides Site Studio which enables you to choose templates and customize them.

  6. There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn’t mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support. When you choose a web host, make sure they have excellent support. If you have a problem with your web site you want help now, not in a day or two.

It can be confusing when choosing a web hosting company because they all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing. However, I recommend reading reviews from reliable websites so that you may compare and become more familiar with the hosting companies before making a decision. This website has helped me a lot with my hosting decisions for a while now http://www.inexpensive-web-hosting.com

I am a web designer and I have changed back and forth from many companies over the years but my favorite one is currently ranked #1. I am moving all my websites to them as the contracts expire.

I hope this will help you.

  7. Sounds like you need a payment gateway for your website.

Don’t have much money to start, doesn’t sound good. You have a clothing store which will probably cost more to operate then creating a webstore. You are going to find owning an online store is just as hard if not harder then a retail store. Once a webstore is created you need marketing dollars and that’s important.

    Its still very hard work.

You have limited options and resources.

    1. Ecommerce webhosts like yahoo small business, etc. Its about $39.99 a month (plus transaction charges) and you have to build the site (you can use their templates and sitebuilder but its still can be difficult) plus the site would be harder to upgrade. Easiest choice since payment gateway is done for you the entire cart system just add your products.

2.$30.00 a month paypal gateway. You have to create and implement the cart yourself more difficult approach. Google Checkout and others have similar monthly charges. You still need a web designer

    3. You can use google or paypal buttons and get charged only transaction fee. Take out a webhosting plan for $10 a month but its still going to be difficult to manage the upgrades not to you need to have a site created.
