I know of a free host, called Zymic.com, and it’s pretty good. It has 5000 megs of space, no ads, MySQL and PHP, FTP capabilities, and more. The ONLY downside that I know of is that there is no website builder. But if you want a good html and css editor, get Aptana Studio for free, from http://www.aptana.com. I hope I helped! I’ve used Omnis, http://www.omnis.com/ ,for mine. My site is is just a small family site. But the tech support there is pretty good, and price is okay. Not sure about Yahoo hosting, they are really overpriced. And GoDaddy seems too budget and too many customers.

I’ve also heard good things abut HostGator.
