  1. Although you will not be able to get started to 100% free if you can spare around $24/month you can get started. You will need to get a reseller hosting account.

These are available from all sorts of hosting companies, but I like Hostgator and I think it may be the cheapest. You then just need to work on getting some customers. You could try targeting offline companies and could charge anything you like (perhaps $10/month), so you will make your money back easily.

  2. I am sorry to be like this, but if you have no capital to put into it and you do not have experience with templates, short of a family member saying hey come manage this hosting company for me, you will not be able to own a hosting company.

honestly you may want to rethink trying to start just a hosting company. There are entirely way too many of them out on the market right now. You would be competing with companies like hostgator.com, godaddy.com and many more multi-billion dollar corporations who have already established themselves.

If you are active on a computer, why don’t you look into getting something done to where you can make some supplemental income for yourself so that you can have the capital it takes to put into a project like starting a hosting company, if that is what you want to get into. Just weigh out the positives and negatives. Granted that would be a monthly income that you really only have to get accounts from individuals from but the negatives about it is that you have to insure your customer that you would be able to keep their sites up and running at least 98.9% of the time.

You may want to look into getting a reseller account with hostgator or godaddy. I am not saying that this is the best solution by anymeans and that also requires about $200.00 / month to get involved with. It just seems that you are looking for someone to say "here you go" with nothing to bring to the table on your end. If i am wrong then I apologize.

Those are just my opinions. Just trying to be honest.

  3. If you have people that are willing to pay you for hosting you can start a reseller account fairly cheap, around $20 a month or so… I do some reselling myself and offer free hosting because it is so inexpensive. Email me and maybe we can work something out to get you started since your on a budget. djl@djlsolution.com
