  1. Try this:

    1. Start by doing a Whois search to obtain the IP address of the website. e.g. mywebsite.com. http://whois.domaintools.com/

    2. When the search information comes up, look under Server Data and take note of the IP address e.g. 68.142.197.64. Now, do a search for the IP address using this link: http://www.apnic.net/ (Note that this url is specific for searching IP addresses based in Asia and the Pacific region. If the server is located in another country, you’ll need to search from a different site).

If all goes to plan, you should see the company listed within the search results.

Note: In step 1, some search results don’t provide the IP address required for a variety of reasons. If this is the case with your site, scroll down to where it says ‘Registrant’s agent’ – the name listed is usually the hosting company.

  2. Check out the following host site: http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/default.asp

Here you can look up domain site owners.

  4. First you can ping the website and it will give you an ip address which you can search it on whois.org. It will give you the company name and location or may have contact person.

I think better to block the Ip address from your firewall to stop scammed you.

    Good luck

  5. If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center ( http://www.fraud.org) These days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company’s website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company’s customers.
